Personal Story

Ko Nadine – Ko au ko NRX Auaha.

I whakapapa to Ngāi Tahu, and part of my journey has been finding my way back to that connection. That process of rediscovery shapes how I approach my work, bringing authenticity, curiosity, and respect for identity to everything I do, from research to leadership to helping others transform their careers.

I have always believed that our identity and actions should mirror our core values. My professional path has been a continuous journey of learning, leading, and redefining success for myself and others. I started in hospitality, then moved into sales and manufacturing.

Over more than twenty years, I led teams in customer service, operations, and leadership roles, always aiming for excellence and creating environments where others could flourish.

Earning my MBA opened opportunities for executive leadership and influenced my approach to leading with purpose, empathy, and integrity.

At age 40, I boldly decided to restart and transition into the tech industry, reigniting my passion for innovation and helping people confidently and clearly transform their careers.

Our Story

NRX Auaha was founded on the beliefs that technology and culture can advance together and that innovation should respect identity.

Through my Master of Technological Futures, I study how ethical AI can safeguard Indigenous languages, stories, and knowledge. This project merges my passion for technology with my cultural roots, guided by principles of integrity, respect, and aroha. I approach this work with aroha (love) and mana (respect) for my colleagues and the stories they share.

I find joy in helping others rediscover their purpose, reconnect with their passion, and step into their careers with grace and confidence. As NRX Auaha expands, I remain humble—learning, unlearning, and creating avenues where people and technology flourish together.

My guiding motto is: Blending tradition and technology for tomorrow. Technology and culture can move forward together, and innovation should never come at the cost of identity.
